Safari Latest Version Number
So technically, this means that the 12.x stream of Safari on iOS 12 is still supported. Apple released a Security Update for it on October 28, 2019. IOS 12 is still considered the latest version of iOS for: iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2 and 3, and iPod touch (6th generation). The only way I've found Ross McNab's way was much better but sadly no longer works (thanks, Apple); Billy Moon's way works but is a bit awkward for one-off checks. Another way to do this is to use an external website (there are plenty to choose from, just search on 'what's my browser'), which will report my user-agent string back to me.
- Here is a screenshot explaining the part that denotes your Safari version number. I use iOS 9.3.5 and Apple provides Safari version 9.0. A simple attribute to body tag exposes the version of Safari on iOS. Apple should not hide the version number on iPhone or any other iOS device. It looks like Apple updates Safari for iOS only on a major OS.

- I am trying to figure out a rather stable way to programmatically determine the latest release version number of safari, opera, ie and edge browser. It doesn't have to be failproof as it's only a nice-to-have-feature I can blend out whenever the result looks 'suspicious'.
