Mavericks On Unsupported Mac
This update includes:
I installed Mavericks on my Macbook 4,1 manually, without fspott. I have working kext(s) for audio but had to use 'sudo nvram boot-args='kext-dev-mode=1' and had to use graphics kext(s) from 10.6.2 Leopard. I still don't have QE. If I catch some working GMA X3100 kext(s), I'll either go to Mavericks, or replace my logic board. Once you're done with the 'Customize' page, install Mavericks. This will take at least 30 minutes. Boot into Mac OS X. Once the installation finishes, remove your Niresh USB drive, and restart your computer. At the boot screen, you'll see an icon for the hard drive where you installed Mavericks. - I have OSX mavericks on my imac from early 2009. Just now I bought a Victory plustek optic film 7200 negative scanner. I thought it supported mac, but this was an older version. I installed the packages for mavericks and restarted the mac, but still I don’t see the scanner in printers and scanners.
